Advance Decline with IB

Has anyone had any success getting an Advance Decline chart using Interactive Brokers data feed?

I'm looking to get either an NYSE or S&P Advance Decline.

There was an old thread back in 2009 with some discussion about why it's difficult to get this going, but there was no conclusion and doesn't seem to have been any discussion since.

Currently Interactive Brokers Market Internals such as the AD-NYSE are not chartable in TWS. As a result, this data is not sent to NinjaTrader and these symbols are not currently supported with IB.

If you are looking for a data provider for real time and historical data for Market Internals I recommend using Kinetick:

From the previous thread, apparently someone from Interactive Brokers said that Advance / Decline is not chartable within the IB TWS, but it is available via the API.

There was a user who was getting Advance Decline from the IB data and charting it successfully in software including Sierra, Quotetracker and IBcharts.

Currently I am not aware of any workaround to receive this data within NinjaTrader 7.

That doesn't answer my question.

TDA's adv/Dec works in market analyzer, but not in the chart.

If it doesn't work in market analyzer you don't have a chance in the chart.

UPDATE:

I have it working now. Using symbol ADD in the instrument manager. It shows up as ^ADD in the Instrument list.

Not sure why it wasn't working before. Maybe user error?
