    auto scaling

Is there a way to have price bars scale themselves to the chart window (so you don't have to manually scroll the 'Y' axis up or down when they drop out of the frame)?

There must be a way. But why does it appear to be so obscure?

    Hello tortoise08,

Charts will show a small "F" button in the upper right of the corner when in a Fixed scaling. By clicking this button you will return to automatic scaling.

Below is a link to the help guide on Navigating a Chart. Please see the section 'How to change the vertical scale and range of a chart'.

In Ninja 6.5 the price would not run off the chart if fixed scale was selected....in Ninja 7 the price can run off the chart if in fixed scale is selected....is this to be corrected in Ninja 8...??

Was there a reason to allow the price to run off the chart in NT7 if in fixed scale...??

          Hello Alfred,

Can you clarify what you mean by allowing the price to run off the scale.

Do you mean that the fixed scaled does not automatically adjust to keep the highest high and lowest low within the top and bottom of the chart?

In NT7 when fixed scale is selected...the price can run off the top or bottom of the chart...in NT6.5 you always saw the latest price even if fixed scale had been selected...

There was a big discussion about this when 7 came out...and Ray said Ninja was listening...

              Hello Alfred,

Just to confirm, you are asking to have the scaling change dynamically and automatically adjust so that the top of the scale is at the highest high of the data and the bottom of the scale is at the lowest low of the data, is this correct?

Yes....have just like it was done in Ninja 6.5....it serves no purpose to have the price run off the chart....have always wondered why this was done as is currently shown in 7....

                  Hi Alfred,

                  Thank you for confirming this.

We do still have feedback from NT6.5 to NT7 that has not been implemented. Our developers plan to revisit this feedback at a later date, however, at this time there is not enough demand for this feature to make it into a beta.

This suggestion is still within our feature request system and we highly encourage you to continue making suggestions!

This is a basic needed correction....not a feature...

What did Ninja have in mind here anyway...??

                      Hi Alfred,

The indented use of a fixed scaling currently is that it becomes "fixed" in the idea that it doesn't automatically move at all. It remains set where you set it.

The automatic scaling is intended to scaling change dynamically and automatically adjust so that the top of the scale is at the highest high of the data and the bottom of the scale is at the lowest low of the data.

However, your suggestion to have this applied to the fixed scaling has been entered into our feature request system.
