    Incorrect Dates Showing on Chart

I can't establish why the dates on my charts are incorrect.

Please see attached 'SHL Image 1' which shows that the dates are not correct.

Now please have a look at attached 'SHL Image 2' every possible source of why this might be occurring and everything looks fine to me.

Is this a bug? Is anyone else experiencing this? Please help!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Please right click in the chart and select Data Series. Ensure that the 'End Date' property is set to use today's date then click OK. Finally, right click in the chart again and select the 'Reload all historical data' option to reload a copy of the data set.

      Thanks for your help Kyle.

Please note that all the data is there - the dates in the NT chart are incorrect and my first post 'SHL Image 1' shows this if you look carefully at the candles.

Please see attachment which shows this more clearly.

I also did your two steps but this didn't change anything.

      Thanks

          Hi Kyle,

I am having a similar problem.

I have the data on my computer as minute data but it is not being converted into day data.
Is there a setting that will force NT7 to make day data from tick data.

          Thanks raef

            Hello raefon72,

Unfortunately, NinjaTrader cannot automatically convert the data however you do have a few options which will allow you to create day bars using this data.

As a simple work-around, a 1440 minute bar could be used in place of a day bar. This would ensure that your existing minute data is used when building a 24 hour bar.

To truly convert the minute data in to day data you would need to export the minute data then re-import it back in to NinjaTrader. When importing, there is an option which will allow you to generate daily bars from the minute data.

Please see the following link to the Historical Data Manager section of our Help Guide for more information about exporting and importing data: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ta_manager.htm

              Hi

1440 only allows for tic data recorded. Importing and exporting every day is a problem within it's self.

Whats the go with the Yahoo connection. Is there a way for me to check it's details.
Can I get the Yahoo api as open source so that I can have a look at it.
Obviously yahoo charts through yahoo are current it's NT7 that is having problems calling the data.

              Thanks raef

                Hello,

NinjaTrader documentation does not include any information regarding the internal workings of the connection which I could point you towards unfortunately.

                    Thanks raef

                      Hello,

Unfortunately, creation of custom connections for NinjaTrader is not currently supported.

                            Thanks

Currently it's pretty much the only easily accessible AUS data provider for traders who are trialling NT7.

I get a lot of hits from Australian traders who are looking for a good charting package. If this connection can run a bit smoother I am sure it will benefit the Ninja Trader customer base from down here.

                            Thanks Raef
