    Installation problem

    Hi there

    I was trying to install NT7 on a new Windows7 machine. The installation ran without any error messages. When I try to start NT it will attempt to load, but ultimately fail. I tried to restart the computer, and also uninstalled and installed NT again. Still not working.

    I have attached the trace file. Could you please review?

    Thanks for your post.

    I've looked at your file and it seems that NinjaTrader is not installed in the correct directory:
    2014-05-09 12:05:01:962 UserDataDir='\\lcw2k301\abezner$\Eigene Dateien\NinjaTrader 7\'

    NinjaTrader needs to be installed on the C: drive under the Documents folder.

    Also, are you running NinjaTrader on a Mac by any chance? If so, are you using Parallels or VMWare?

      Hi Vince

      Thank you for the quick answer. I am using Windows 7 and I used the default suggested installation path settings which is

      C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7

      Only the user document folder is located '\\lcw2k301\abezner$\Eigene Dateien\NinjaTrader 7\ which is a network drive.

        Hello,

        Installing NinjaTrader on a network drive is not supported.

          Thank you for the link. For me, only resolution 2 is an option. Also, as the link is from 2007, the guide is not applicable any more as I have .NET framework 4.5 installed.

          Could you please provide me with an updated guide what to do?

            Hello,

            The link is still valid and you would need to follow the instructions for NinjaTrader 7.

            Resolution 2 is for when you have NinjaTrader 6.5 installed. Please ignore those.
