Cannot see real time data on a chart (64 bit)

This is the 1-st time I'm running 64 bit Ninja (7.0.0.22). I am connected to an external data feed and I see a data is flowing into, because prices are changing in real time on Control Panel==>File==>Orders. I see also incoming ticks on Historical Data Manager. However I cannot see a real time data on a chart for this instrument. An older, historical data, is seen for the same instrument on the same chart. It always worked in 32 bit environment, may be I defined certain things improperly. What could be a reason for such behaviour ?

    Hello xTrader1,

Thank you for your forum post.

If you are receiving a bid/ask/last price on the Orders tab of the Control Center but any other windows are not updating in real-time you can initially troubleshoot the situation by resetting your instruments:

When you perform an instrument reset, the following actions will occur:
    • User added instruments will not be affected.
    • Any changes you have made to the original instrument settings will be reset
    • Any changed symbol mappings will be reset including changes made for use with the Automated Trading Interface.

    • Disconnect from any data providers.
    • Control Center > Tools > Options...
    • Data tab > Reset Instruments
    • Restart NinjaTrader

Please let me know if this does not help to resolve the situation or if I can provide any further assistance.

Something stranger happens - and I think it's somehow related to the problem. Tools==>Options does not open data tab as in 32 bit application on my another machine !!!
Can I run Ninja on non-administrator account ?

May be an answer to my problem is there ?

        Hello xTrader1,

Thank you for the follow up.

If options > Data is not opening or appearing this may mean that the program files for NinjaTrader were not updated successfully.

You can troubleshoot the situation by performing a repair install:

With this procedure you will not lose any Workspaces, Charts, etc. You will need to copy your license key from Control Center > Help > License Key...
        • Close all running applications.
        • Make sure NinjaTrader is closed from the Windows Task Manager:
          • Press CTRL + ALT + DEL on your keyboard > Start Task Manager...
          • Processes tab
          • Locate and highlight "NinjaTrader.exe" > Click "End Process"
          • If NinjaTrader is not located on the Processes tab, skip this step.
        • Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs or Programs and Features
        • From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 and click Remove.

Once these steps are completed, download and install NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.22 from the link below:

Are you able to access the data tab after performing the repair install?

Thank you, I re-installed Ninja under administrator account and wiped my database. Data tab appears. The problem is not solved, I'll continue to investigate on Monday with a fresh data. Please answer - Is it possible to run Ninja under non-administrator account? Thank you.
