    Connection issues with IB TWS

    Hello,

    Please help with establishing connection through NT to IB TWS. Upon connecting Interactive Brokers TWS keeps prompting for a login, then proceeds to load the GUI, after a bit of time it unloads the GUI and this happens a few times in a row. NT never shows the IB as connected in the status bar.

    NinjaTrader 64-bit 7.0.1000.22
    TWS Build 944.3, Apr 1, 2014 1:29:41 PM
    Java Version: 1.7.0_55
    OS: Windows 7 (amd64, 6.1)

    Please contact me at Support AT NinjaTrader DOT com. In the message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace file.
    The file is located in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder. I would need the 'trace.20140514.txt' file.

      Thanks for your response, Kyle. I figured the solution by searching deeper in the forums. Apparently putting "Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation" in the title solves the problem even if you don't have a White Label GUI and are a client of IB directly. I'd suggest adding this note to your instructions as it seems a lot of people run into this issue recently.

        I have trouble connecting to TWS.

        These days I first have to start TWS, then Ninja, then connect ninja to TWS.
        But from 2 weeks ago, I get error, your connection is rejected by teh computer and cannot login.

        IB.Adapter.MessageLoop fe80::f018:8d18:8866:be63%10:7496

        my pc is windows 8 64bit.

            Can't connect from Ninja to TWS

            Hi,

            I get the following error when I try to connect to Tws from Ninja Trader.
            This problem started when I upgraded to Tws 944.3

            "Fatal Error: one of the following jar files is missing from the classpath:
            httpcore-4.3.jar
            httpclient-4.3.jar
            Please make sure you run the application from the shortcut that was
            installed on your desktop or on the Start menu when you upgraded."

            Java for windows 7.55
            Tws 944.3
            Ninja 64-bit 7.0.1000.13
            Windows 7

                Can't connect from Ninja to TWS

                Thanks for your response, Kyle. I can start Tws itself without going thru Ninja and no errors appear.

                  I have problem logging NT7 to TWS. They can't connect each other. Both NT7 and TWS separetly work properly.

                  NT: 7.0.1000.21 ( Live)

                    Hello Maciej,

                    You have an outdated version for TWS.

                    You will need to upgrade to the supported version of TWS, 944.3
