Hotkeys for ATM's?

Hello,

Is it possible to assign hot-keys for different ATM strategies? It would really help speed order entry up.

If not, can a feature request be put forward to the dev team?

Hot Keys for ATM strategy on the Chart

For us this is an extremely important issue, because in fast market movements, we lose winning trades, but never lose a loser trade. NEVER.

Our strategy is based on ATM buy/sell stop, and sometimes ATM buy/sell limit. The trigger is set up in the Chart.

So our requirement is quite simple: we need a Hot Key to buy and sell faster than the market movements.

For example in a long trade:

When the strategy setup sign is shown in the chart,

I stand up with the Cross Hair mouse on the chart sign (trigger price), and press the defined hot key (example Ctrl + B)

If the price did not reach my price position, then system would set a buy stop order

If the price had broken through my price position, the system would then set a buy limit order automatically

And if I needed to cancel this order, with Ctrl + C I would be able to turn off my order.

You might try investigating AutoHotKey at http://ahkscript.org.

Also, I note that in the NinjaTrader 8 Major Enhancements whitepaper, Hot Keys are mentioned as,

* Improved hot key setup process to allow for recording keystrokes
* Added various user requested hot keys
* Added SuperDOM hotkey category

Is it available in NT7 to tie several ATMs to specific Hotkeys?

Unfortunately no estimate of if or when a feature request will be implemented can be provided. Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black and white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:

• Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
• Feasibility
• Developer bandwidth
• Current projects in the queue
• Economics

You'll find a note regarding your feature request in the release notes when a feature is implemented.
