NT Crashes, how to resume strategy

So this morning I was running a strategy and a forex pair got triggered in a long position. Then after a few hours, Ninjatrader crashed, for unknown reasons. When I restarted NT and reconnected to my datafeed, I could see the position just fine under the Positions tabs.

So I enabled the strategy again and assumed everything was fine.

Until my target profit was hit and the strategy didnt react (did not sell).

So I guess the strategy did not pick up where it left.

Can anyone point me into a direction on how to approach this situation where a strategy or NT for some reason is interrupted but after restart it should pick up where it stopped?

Some background info on the trade: I entered a EnterLongLimit order and used SetStopLoss and SetProfitTarget methods.

    Thanks!

    Hello Siroki,

    Thank you for your post.

What are your strategy settings from the option menu? Tools -> Options -> Strategies Tab -> NinjaScript Sub-Tab

Do you set the property Sync Accounts to true of false?

Was this a live trade or simulation trade?

      Strategy settings are default.

I have set the sync account position to False

      It's in simulation mode.

        Siroki,

By default settings you mean "Wait until flat" is set for the strategy?

Additionally, with the Sim101 account when a strategy is disabled all working orders are cancelled as well.
When you reconnected there were no working orders to resync the strategy to and thus didn't have the Sell order for the profit target.

You could set the strategy settings to "Submit live working historical orders" for this scenario, however, you will want to read the link below on the Sync Account position and see which case would fit your needs best.
