    Charts Not Loading After Purchasing License

    Last night I just purchased a Lifetime License and now my charts are not loading. I am connected to Interactive Brokers. I don't know if it is connected to the new license, but I have done nothing differently except for that.

    Thanks for your post.

    Did you enter your new license under Help--> License Key?

    Can you please let us know the following:
    - What instrument(s) are you looking at with what interval?
    - What Session template have you selected in the Data Series window? Can you change this to 'Default 24/7'
    - What happens when you right click in the chart--> Reload all historical data?
    - Is there an error message listed in the log tab of the control center?
    - What version are you using? Our current release is V7.0.1000.23 which you can check under Help--> About
    - What version of TWS do you have installed? Is it TWS 944.3?

      Thank you for your response.. Here are the answers to your questions:

      Did you enter your new license under Help--> License Key?
      Yes

      What instrument(s) are you looking at with what interval?
      $EURAUD (and several other currencies) on 60 minute TF

      What Session template have you selected in the Data Series window? Can you change this to 'Default 24/7'
      Set to <use instrument settings> Have changed it to Default 24/7 but that has made no difference

      What happens when you right click in the chart--> Reload all historical data?
      It says that it is reloading the data and then I continue to get a blank chart

      Is there an error message listed in the log tab of the control center?
      No error messages in the log file

      What version are you using? Our current release is V7.0.1000.23 which you can check under Help--> About
      64 bit 7.0.10000.22 (Multi-Broker Live)

      What version of TWS do you have installed? Is it TWS 944.3?

        Hello JG123,

        I see you’re on a previous version of NinjaTrader. Can you please close this and then upgrade to our current release V7.0.1000.22 by following these instructions:
        - Go to Help--> License Key and save your License
        - Close NinjaTrader
        - Go to the windows control panel--> Programs & Features--> Uninstall NinjaTrader 7
        - Reinstall NinjaTrader from the following link:

        After the reinstall please reset your instruments under Tools--> Options--> Data tab--> Reset Instruments

        Note: You will not lose any settings, strategies, workspaces etc since they are located in a folder that won't be uninstalled.

        Let us know if this corrects your issue.

          Now it appears to be working. Thank you for your help.

          was it simply that it was not the most updated version? It looks like that release came out on 9 June and I have used it plenty of times since then with no problems. I also have not changed any instrument settings. Would be interesting to know what has caused this so that I can avoid doing what was done before or change the way that I do it if necessary

            Hello JG123,

            Glad to hear it's working again for you.

            I'm not sure what exactly caused this, but obviously something in your previous version was not up to date. Upgrading to our current release corrected this.

              I seem to be running into another issue with this.

              This time, it seems that all of the charts are loading (slowly, but loading nonetheless) except for the USDJPY. When I go to open up that currency pair, the chart just stalls. This happens if I open up a new chart or if I attempt change the currency from an already existing chart.

              Attached is a screenshot of the EURGBP as I am attempting to change to the USDJPY. It has been sitting in this mode for at least 5 minutes.

                Hello JG123,

                How many charts do you have open? Also, is there an error message listed in the log tab of the control center?

                Can you otherwise send a follow up note to support from within the software under Help--> Mail to support and check Logs and Traces.

                Furthermore, include a link to this post and put 'For Vince' in the subject.
