Adding the LSE and other global exchanges in MA?

    Hi Guys,

I’ve been learning NT7 for a couple of weeks now. One of the areas I’m interested in is the Market Analyser as this is going to help me narrow down my selections. I like the way you can use SMA’s as part of the search – very useful for locating trends across exchanges.

My question is this – NT7 appears to have the major US exchanges listed and you can analyse all the stocks easily in a long list. However How do you add global market exchanges and all the listed stocks in MA? I.E how do I add LSE in the same format as the DOW30 and have all the instruments in that exchange? Or am I simply asking too much?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Any lists which are not included with NinjaTrader by default would need to be created manually. Please see the following link to our Help Guide for more information about this process: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...ment_lists.htm

      Fast reply, thanks.

I will check out the link.

Once these lists have been created can they be saved and exported? Or imported?

        Hello,

Instrument lists cannot be exported or imported however it is possible to create a backup of these settings by including NinjaTrader's database in a backup. Please see the following link to our Help Guide for more information about backing up: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...up_archive.htm

Would this not assist in speeding things up a bit?

            Hello,

The process discussed in that forum post has to do with adding the instruments themselves to NinjaTrader, not creating lists using instruments which were already added. The only way to add an instrument to or remove an instrument from a list is to use the steps which are outlined at the link I posted in my previous message.

Apologies, I may have got the wrong end of the stick.

So if I imported the instrument list that pertained to the LSE does that mean I could scan them all in a list in Market Analyser?

              Thanks

                Hello,

It is not possible to import an instrument list however if you were to create the list manually then it could be used in a variety of windows including the Market Analyzer.
