Does Microsoft Surface have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 to run Ninjatrader

I am looking for a tablet to run NT. I was told that it needs to have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 I can't find out if Surface has this, though.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

NinjaTrader isn't developed for any tablets, however if the tablet has our minimum system requirements you might be able to install and run NinjaTrader. If you are able to install, you need to be aware that you still need to attach a mouse that has a scroll wheel that can act like a middle mouse button.
Also, if you run into any issues please note that we officially don't support tablets. You can contact us and we will try to assist, however based on the issue there is a chance we might not be able to solve.

As for Microsoft Surface, you might want to do a search on Google under 'Microsoft Surface net framework'.

For our minimum system requirements please see here:

NinjaTrader 7 on Surface Pro 3

Based on a post on the Microsoft Community Forum (see link below), it looks like .Net 3.5 is already installed but you may need to activate it.

Surface Pro 3 also uses the Windows 8.1 Pro operating system which enables remove desktop connectivity with other Windows Pro OS devices.

Would appreciate hearing back from anyone who has been able to get NT7 to work on it. I am considering holding out for the i7 version.

Any updates on this issue? I'd like to buy a Surface 3 Pro and run NinjaTrader. Is anyone doing this now? I know the S3P runs .net 3.5 and higher. NT Team - have you tested this yet, or know someone who has? Thx.

          Hello squank,

          Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the Surface Pro 3 runs .NET 3.5 and it should be preinstall and working. Please note that NinjaTrader is designed to be used with a mouse and keyboard however and I would recommend using a mouse and keyboard with the Surface Pro 3 with NinjaTrader.

Squank - How are you liking the Surface pro 3? About the pull the trigger on it but looking for some feedback on having Ninja on it. It's a nice machine and great for travel. Interesting in your thoughts. thanks
