Multiple Strategies vs. Entries Per Direction

Hi,

Can somebody explain to me the effect of Entries Per Direction over multiple strategies?

Example: I am running two different strategies on EURUSD.
Both strategies have Entries Per Direction set to 1 and Entry Handling set to AllEntires

Strategy 1 triggers a long entry at 1.3500 and is filled. Then 20 minutes laten stategy 2 also triggers a long entry. At 1.3475

Question: does strategy 2 get filled?

Hi siroki, so you mean you run two different strategy instances here? The scripts would not cross communicate, so the EntryHandling would be per strategy only.

Then I have a follow-up question. What happens if strategy 1 triggers a long EURUSD for 100000 units at 1.3500 with a TP of 1.3600 and SL of 1.3475.

Now strategy 2 comes along and triggered a short EURUSD for 100000 units at 1.3525 with a TP of 1.3475 and a SL of 1.3550.

So basically I am net flat (0 position) now. What happens to the TP and SL orders for the two orders? Do they get cancelled out?

And what happens when strategy 2 triggers not 100000 units but 25000 units. Then I am net long 75000. Do all the SL and TP orders stay active?

Yes, each strategy would manage its own orders then. For the sync what would count is the overall strategy position (combined across scripts), you want to see that properly reflected in the account. That's the net long you were talking about.
