Missing month of data in charts

    Hi,

I am plotting a series of market data from my own historical files which are split into 3 month contract length. When I plot a 60 min chart of a single contract between Jan-Mar (using in this '6E 03-09.Last'), I get all the data back as expected. However if I attempt to chart a longer period (using '6E 06-09.Last' or beyond) I get back a chart that is completely missing Mar data. The chart simply skips from the end of Feb to the start of Apr.
I have tried deleting the historical data and re-importing it.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,
    darmbk.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your note.

Can you please confirm you have data set to merge using the steps below:
    • Tools-->Instrument Manager
    • Select 6E
    • Edit
    • Merge Policy-->Set to either "MergeNonBackAdjusted" or "MergeBackAdjusted"
    • Click Ok
    • Click Ok

Next within your chart please right click within your chart and select "Reload all historical data" and let me know if data is still missing.

      Hi Christopher,

Unfortunately that change did not resolve my issue. Note though that I have no "Reload all historical data" option as it is greyed out. I did however, delete the data file from the historical database and re-import it. Thoughts?

      Thanks,
      darmbk.

          Hi Christopher,

Thanks for walking me through those steps. I have followed them but unfortunately I find the same gap in the data. I am hoping this is some simple user error but the fact that I can produce a chart of March 2009 data if I specify a March 2009 date as an end point makes me suspicious. Any other ideas?

          Many thanks,
          darmbk.

The issue was an incorrect rollover date for that 3-month contract which is why I didn't see a problem when I specified that specific contract to produce a chart but when I used a longer time frame the rollover date was used and meant I appeared to be missing data but it was simply that NT was looking in the wrong file.
