NinjaTrader 7 64-bit unable to connect (to IB)

Hi,
As of today, I haven't been able to connect to NinjaTrader. I was connecting fine yesterday. I get the following error:

Unable to connect to database 'Data Source="C:\Users\Tony\Documents\NinjaTrader7\db\Ni njaTrader.sdf": .....

I searched your forums and found that this problem has existed before (as seen in http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=51256 and http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...Data+Source%3D). I read the suggestion to install the latest version of SQL Server Compact, and installed the latest version 4.0 SP1. Is this version supported or should I install version 3.5?

Hello Darren,

Please proceed as per the instructions below. So do not install version 4.0 SP1, but 3.5.

Please follow the below steps to ensure the correct version of SQL Compact Edition is installed on your PC. If you are not entirely comfortable performing the steps below, please let me know and we can setup a time for a remote support session.

- Navigate to the Windows Control Panel
- Add and remove software/programs
- Uninstall any SQL Compact Editions you see, if none are present you may ignore this step and continue onto the next step
- Install latest SQL Compact Edition 3.5. SP2 which is available here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=5783

- Once you run the downloaded file it will ask you for a directory to extract the installer to. Point this to a temporary directory that you will be able to quickly locate later, such as the desktop
- Navigate to the aforementioned directory in which the files have been extracted to (there will be two files)
SSCERuntime_x86-ENU.msi - Run this one first
SSCERuntime_x64-ENU.msi - No need to run this if you are on a 32 bit system, if you are on a 64 bit system you will also need to run this file, if you are not sure if you have a 64 bit system go ahead and run this file. If you are not using a 64 Bit operating system, the installer will cancel itself automatically

- Follow the installation steps outlined in the installation wizard
- Once installed you will need to restart your PC
- You will now be able to launch NinjaTrader 7

Today I received a similar error when attempting to start NinjaTrader 7.

Unable to connect to database....The database file is larger than the configured maximum database size. This setting takes effect on the first concurrent database connection only. [ Required Max Database Size (in MB; 0 if unknown) = 361 ]

Looking C:\Users\Don\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db I see that NinjaTrader.sdf is ~147MB. Looking at file history it was previously at ~354MB. Last night before shutting down I removed a large number of saved Optimization Results (thinking it was the smart thing to do...) and I believe it's somehow related.

I've tried reloading the MS SQL Server mentioned above, however that didn't resolve the issue. If you have any additional thoughts that would be great!
