    patsystems and ICE US mainly TF

    my broker connects using Patsystems.. everything is fine and dandy if trading CME products but for some reason it doesnt recognize TF as an instrument. I asked the broker he said he has allowed me to trade TF but i may have to add something on the ninja platform for it to be recognize. i get data from IQfeed and i can chart the TF but cannot submit an order using my broker.. (I have a multi-license )

    Thanks for, your post.

    Can you check, when connected. under Tools--> Instrument Manager--> Pats button and see if the TF is listed in the list of authorized instruments.

    If it is, please let us know what version you're using. Our current release is V7.0.1000.24 which you can check under Help--> About.

    If the TF isn't listed, it means that your account is not set up correctly to trade this instrument. Please request with your broker to have this enabled for your account.

      Thanks for the quick reply
      i checked the PATS button and it does have the instrument listed also i updated to the most current version. V7.0.1000.24 but still same problem. it says unknown instrument.

        Hello,

        Can you reset your instruments under Tools--> Options--> Data tab--> Reset Instruments. After this exit and restart NT and see if you can trade the TF.

        If you can't please send an email from within the software under Help--> Mail to support. Put in the subject 'For Vince' and refer to this thread. Make sure that Log and Traces are checked.

            Hello,

            I've not seen your email come in yet.

            Can you please send an email directly to 'platformsupport at ninjatrader dot com'. Attach to this email your most current Log and Trace file.

            You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.
            • The log file will be named "log.20140715.txt"

            You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
            • The trace file will be named "trace.20140715.txt"



            Put in the subject 'For Vince' and once more refer to this thread.
