    Startup problems

    Hi all,

    When I double-click the shortcut icon on my desktop (Windows 8) to start up Ninja Trader, it displays the initialization window and then after that disappears, it doesn't open anything else, no charts, no control centre, nothing.

    If I double-click on the icon again, it says two separate windows of Ninja Trader cannot be opened.

    If I open Task Manager, Ninja Trader is present..

    Please help/, thank you.

    It sounds like NinjaTrader is attempting to connect to a data provider on startup and is not able to successfully establish the connection.


    I can troubleshoot the situation further with your config file:


    Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Ryan L." in the subject line.

    In the message, please include the following:
    1.) A link to this forum thread.
    2.) So I may further test your account connection on my end, can you please send me your configuration file?
    • You will find your configuration file in the following directory:
    • (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\config.xml

    Once located, please attach the config.xml file to your email.

        I use Yahoo for market data if that helps?
