    Receiving an email if the strategy stops working

    Hello,
    I have an automated trading strategy and I was wondering if there is a way to insert some kind of Ninja Script code it it so that if the strategy stops working because of some reason, I receive an email.

    Is this possible withing NT?

    Hi pandyav, you could be for example checking into those options to handle connection issues -



    Another item to consider would be for example rejected orders, which you could track in OnOrderUpdate() - https://www.ninjatrader.com/support/...orhandling.htm

    and then manually send you an email for example through the use of SendMail().

      Hi Bertrand,
      Thank you for the quick reply.

      I was able to set up the email server per your note and also got a test email. My question is if there is a way to get an email everytime a something changes under your log tab.

      So every time a new message appears under the log tab, may it be related to order, strategy etc. I want to get an email.

      Is it possible?

        pandyav, that would be possible for all alert type events - you can enter your email to here under Tools > Options > Misc, too (lower part).

          So if I understood it correctly, If I fill in the details under Tools > Options > Misc, I'd receive an email every time the log changes, correct?

            Hello pandyav,

            For clarity, you will get an e-mail when there is an Alert condition, a Warning condition or an Error condition. You would not get an e-mail for every item that is logged unless it fits one of those three conditions.
