    Problems with licensing?

    Hi all,

    I get this alert message when opening Ninja Trader:

    'Failed to verify license. Please try again in a few minutes.'


    What do I do?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your note.

    Our servers are in fact up and running and there have not been other reports of unable to connect tot he license servers.

    Could you temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus programs you may be running and restart NinjaTrader to see if that solves this issue.

        Hi,
        I have similar problem from yesterday.I cannot connect to www.ninjatrader.com from my computer. That's why error "Failed to verify license..." has appeared when I started NT. Internet connection to other sites is OK, your server is up. I restarted computer, NinjaTrader, turned ogg firewall, nothing helped.
        It seemes like you block at least my IP address (do not believe so), or all domains *.sk :-) ?.
        Any idea to solve this ?

          Hi miro, welcome to our forums - got no other reports at this time here, have you also tried to unplug your router / modem before retrying on a fresh system restart? Sometimes a particular backbone connection has an issue which might be resolved with having your local network hardware logging fresh onto the ISV backend.

            Hi Bertrand,
            Thanks for idea, but no success.It must me something with settings in my in computer, or routing at ISV side.
            What is current IP address of www.ninjatrader.com ?

                  Same error

                  I have the same problem as Sultanoflondon does on this post.
                  "Failed to verfy license - Please try again in a few minutes"

                  Now, I'm trying to install NT on my laptop from work so this maybe related to the firewall 'cause I only seem to have this problem at work. My NT on my home machine works fine.

                  If you click on 'OK' a windows opens and says the license server couldn't be reached
                  and Please enter your back door code.

                    Yes, sounds like a classical firewall issue here to reach the license verification servers - please ensure NT is allowed to access ninjatrader dot com through http port 80.

                      Is there any other ports that could be used instead of 80 ?

                        Hello,

                        NT licenses, vendor license files and a server based configuration file are downloaded from per HTTP and HTTPS using ports 80 and 443. Both of these ports would need to be open to traffic from NinjaTrader.
