    Data lost from 8.06am

    Do you have problems with data server today?

    I've lost data from 8.06am and cant repair it

      Is this a CQG issue or would I be better off with Rithmic? What's the cause of this?

          Not mine, but I'm just reloading my charts (F5). If I have to do more then please let me know. Missed a really good move this morning because I'm not confident that things are working reliably.

              I restarted NT and mine seems to be working now. I want to hear a response from a NT rep as to what's happening. I don't do well with Black Magic and no explanations.

                  It's been hours since a NinjaTrader rep responded to this thread. NinjaTrader folks, are you reading it. Don't you think that a response would be appropriate? Thank you, I think.

                    Mine (Rithmic) has been working fine since late yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

                    I notice it most weekends go off-line and then is always started back by the electronic opens. So I collect any historical data I might need before Friday's close.

                      Thank you all for your notes on this matter.

                      You are correct, the historical data server was not recording. However, we have switched users to another server. To resolve this on your end, simply restart NinjaTrader.

                        Maybe some "automatic fall-over" should be instituted. Your users shouldn't be your system reliability monitors. Server automatic fall-over to backup systems is common in the computer industry. This went on WWWWAAAAAYYYYY too long.

                          Thanks for your reply.

                          Our servers team is taking into consideration different ways to manage this however, there is not an easy way for the system to check when data stops coming in with various instruments as many instruments trade at different times and have different volatility. Often times only some instruments are affected, not all. The servers team is looking into what happened today as they found it was recording and available on the server however many users were not able to access it.
