Strategies have disappeared & Backtest not working

I was messing around with some strategies & I've apparently done something wrong (big time code idiot here). When I would go to Strategy Analyzer all of my strategies would be listed down on the bottom of far left - they're all gone now. But I can select a future index to run the test on (like /NQ), and from the "Backtest" tab on the upper right, I can select 1 of my strategies from the dropdown. However whenever I run the backtest, nothing happens. i.e. there's no progress at all on the lower right Control Center. And when I hit the abort/cancel, it got stuck in "Aborting" mode for about 15 min.

I shut everything down & exited NT, but I just restarted, tried to repeat the analyzer & same exact thing.

Any ideas on what I did or how I can fix this? Thanks.

Hi MFinMO,

Are you able to add the script to a chart and view the historical trades?

If you backtest over just 7 days, does the backtest complete?

If you backtest the SampleMACrossOver script does this complete?

It's still trying to abort the previous backtest. It's been trying to abort now for about 20min

I don't know how or what you're talking about for adding script.

7 day run didn't complete.

Sample MACross wouldn't complete/work either.

Hi MFinMO,

To add a script to a chart:

• Right-click the chart -> select Strategies...
• From the list in the upper left find and select your strategy
• Click the New button
• On the right set Enabled to true
• Click OK

You may need to force NinjaTrader closed using the task manager if the script is stuck processing.

No I can't. Strategies is "greyed out" and not able to be selected.

Are you connected to a data provider?
Who are you connected to? (This is indicated in green in the lower left corner of the Control Center)

Do you have Chart Trader enabled on the chart? (This is the trading buttons on the right side of the chart)

Yes, I'm connected to Kinetick. When I disable chart trader I can select a strategy as per your directions.

But I still can't get the analyzer to do anything?

No, there's no trades that take place/show whenever I do that.

But whenever I select strategy performance, historical & real time, it does show the summary.

Shut everything down overnight, but still not working. Any ideas?
