Adding Old Files After Clean Install

Hi,

I just installed the latest version of NT - the direct edition one. I'd like to find out which file from a previous same version install has the instruments and commissions data so I don't need to reenter all of it. I'd like to just copy this file and paste it in to replace the current one.

Thank you for your post.

Instrument settings are held within NinjaTrader's database. This file is kept in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > DB folder and is named 'NinjaTrader.sdf'.

Commissions settings are held in NinjaTrader's Config file. This file is located within the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 folder.

I replaced both of those files with the old one but none of the instruments and commissions show up in the Instrument Manager.

Was NinjaTrader shut down when you replaced the files? If it was not, please restart the software and check for these settings again.

It wasn't shut down but I did replace the files and reopened it and all the instruments I had before aren't showing up, nor are the commissions. .

Please send me a copy of the database which you restored so that I can test here.
You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Support.
