Historical Data Question

6E 9/14 contract

I have a monthly chart going back to 2/2005

I am attempting to find vol data, but NT is giving me an error message: " Error on loading chart data for 6E 3-05 Globex: Unable to load historical data: unknown instrument."

Please advise.

Are you referring to data using the VOL indicator or the Volume bar type?

Hello,

Please open the Options menu's Data tab. (Tools > Options > Data) In the Options menu's data tab please un-check the 'Get data from server' box then click OK.

After making this change, return to your chart and re-apply the VOL indicator.

The error message is gone. But the first vol indicator bar on the monthly chart is 8/06 despite chart data going back to 2005.

Do you see volume values listed for these past dates in NinjaTrader's Historical Data Manager's Edit tab? (Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit)

Yes, the vol data is there.

You mentioned that '...the vol data is there; however from 2/10/2005 - 2/28/2005 the '5' in the year is missing.' I'm not totally sure what this means. Can you provide an image?

Sorry Kyle, I wrote that before I expanded the column. I edited my post. The vol is there and the '5' is there! But the vol indicator bars are still missing.
