    Advisory #24

    Hello,

    I received the advisory, instructing me to uninstall and reinstall NT. I have a couple of questions:

    1) Since I'm resetting the instrument database, am I going to lose any custom instruments?

    2) If not, what about commission structures - will I lose those?

    3) Will my local database of historical data remain intact?

    I'm assuming that I won't be losing custom scripts if I do the uninstall and reinstall, but if I am that's crucial to know.

    Thank you for your post.

    You will not lose anything that you have listed here.

    The Reset instruments will only be applied the instruments and nothing else.

      Have the maintenace issues identified in Advisory 24 been resolved? (If we followed the instructions in Advisory 24 should charts be displaying correctly now)

          Hello,

          Unfortunately there was another issue reported which we are able to reproduce on our end. We've notified our server department who will look into it once they get in.

            What was the outcome of this other issue? Is it fixed now? Lower timeframe charts ok but historical data looks like it still has problems, Daily + higher timeframe charts (i.e. 240 minutes) still not displaying correctly even after reloading historical data or deleting tick, min etc,, data

            BTW, I've always found NT support to be very good, issuing the advisory was good, thank you and thank you for the fixes but the followup to this last advisory has left a lot to be desired. What's needed is a status after the advisory is issued and completed so customers know if problems are still being worked on or not. Advisory 24 was issued on Aug 9. Here it is Aug 19 and still don't know if this other cryptic problem was resolved or if I have a different problem. Everyone understand when time is needed to resolve a problem, it's not all that difficult to have a status to say" thanks for your patience, we're still working on this" or " the advisory is complete, your charts should be working now" instead of repeating 'is it fixed yet?'

              Hello,

              The issue effecting historical data from the 15th - 18th is still in effect however real-time data is updating normally. As I understand it, we plan to update NinjaTrader's historical data servers during the coming weekend.
