Changing Chart Style

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if you can help me. I have a couple of problems.

I am running the latest version of NT7 on Windows 8.

Firstly, I cannot close the application without Ending the process... Any idea's why this is??? I have tried re-installing, but it makes no difference.

Secondly, I am running OFA Bars as my primary chart style and that works fine. If I then choose to create a new chart with 1 min candlesticks or another other time frame or chart type, I get no data on the chart.

My data feeds are fine as I receiving data.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your forum post and welcome to the support forums!


Sometimes NinjaTrader will not be able to respond or process requests if another program or process is currently scanning/backing up any NinjaTrader files.

Usually this is an automatic backup program or an anti-virus/firewall program.


I would like to investigate these situatons further on my end.



Please send a note to platformsupport [AT] ninjatrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Ryan L." in the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) Your latest log and trace file:
You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

• The log file will be named "log.20140822.txt"

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

• The trace file will be named "trace.20140822.txt"
