    Bar Timer message - need help

    I have Ninja Trader 64 bit 7.0.1000.18

    Demo license, data feed connected, CQG

    Steps:
    New Chart - instrument selected is CL 09-14
    Chart template: Invest to Success Time Trader 1 Minute
    session template = Default 24/7

    The chart displays:
    'bar timer is disabled since either you are disconnected or current time is outside session time or chart end date''

    Thank you for your post.

    Please shut down NinjaTrader then update to the current 7.0.1000.25 release of the software via this link: http://ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php

    After installing please restart NinjaTrader. Before connecting to any data source please open the Options menu. (Tools > Options) In the Data tab, click the 'Reset Instruments' button then restart NinjaTrader. Finally, reconnect to your data source and reload data.

        Hello,

        Would you see the same behavior with the current 10-14 contract of CL?

        Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.
        • From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
        • Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
        • Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
        • Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date

            Hi Mike, what end date is set on the chart you use? Would that be the current day, so Aug 29th?

              Bar Timer message - need help

              After a few tries, I was able to see the 1, 3 and 30 min charts on the CL 10-14 instrument. Yes, 8/29 is the end date.

              Why is the CL 9-14 not viewable?

                Ok, glad to hear.

                The 10-14 is the current front month, 09-14 is expired by now since it was settled on Aug 20th.
