can NT handle advanced TS orders?

I am still exploring all facets of ATI, and it would help me to understand if NT and MB can work with my exact TS orders..

Specifically what I want to know is if NT, and MB, are able to handle a TS strategy that specifies an entry of:

enter a 500 share buy limit, at Ask+.05, through ARCA on a 'Single Trade Tick within NBBO', with an OSO stop market ARCA on a 'Single Trade Tick within NBBO' ... without any modification?

In other words, can NT and MB transmit and execute the TS trade signals and execution preferences (including multiple advanced preferences and OSO), exactly as TS would itself?

You can route to ARCA if you add the desired instrument to the Instrument Manager and set the exchange to ARCA. Not sure what a OSO order is so I can't comment on that, all else looks fine provided you code it correctly in EL.

      thank you...
OSO is a TS "Order Sends Order" advanced order type that's new in version 8.1 Two orders are entered, and if the primary one is filled, the secondary order is sent to market (like if a buy order is filled, then a sell stop order can be sent immediately). It is part of the TS program itself (not custom EL), it just requires you to check a few boxes and fill in the specific variables.

About the Instrument Manager, is there a way to specify ARCA for all stocks (or do I need to specify ARCA for each individual stock I trade)?

        Each individual stock you trade.

OSO is not handled since this is a TS thing.

Okay, I'm still trying to understand what TS data is compatible...

I was thinking that an OSO order is basically the same as a buy order that is filled, and then a sell stop order being placed. What exactly is the incompatibility?

What do you mean by 'a TS thing'?

          thanks...

TS thing means it is a feature of TS not NT. NT accepts any standard order type. If you want to have stops and targets submitted you can use an NT strategy and reference this strategy in the NTCommand function from EL. NT does support TS features. We provide functions for communication to our ATI for order processing.

              thanks..

So a stop on TS would not be handled as just another order, by NT?

How about "single trade tick at NBBO"?

                Hi John,

I am not familiar with TS and how they handle stop orders so I really can't answer your question.

What I can confirm is that you can tell NT to place any standard order type that NT supports. You can reference an NT strategy which will automatically bracket a position for you. Any TS specific terms I can not address.

Sorry I could not have been of more help.

                  Ray,

thank you for what you helped me to understand. I think I have a general idea now of what TS features and coding is compatible with NT.

NT can place any type oforder from TS, that NT could place on it's own. If I'm understanding this correctly, then it let's me know exactly what's compatible and what isn't.
