Mexican Peso not working in ninjatrader?

I am trying to open a chart for the Mexican Peso ($USDMXN) when connected to the eSignal feed but it is showing 0.07 instead of 13.46. It also doesnt update properly.

I am simultaneously streaming the eSignal feed into another 3rd party application and that is working absolutely fine, showing the 13.46 and updating frequently.

What is the issue with MXN??

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Based on my testing here this appears to be an issue with the eSignal data stream itself as I am seeing the exact same price format quoted within the eSignal platform. (see attached)

I would recommend that you contact eSignal support to report the issue as it seems to originate outside of NinjaTrader.

Thanks but you are using an incorrect symbol for the Mexican Peso. The symbol structure via eSignal follows that of all majors, XXX A0-FX and not USDXXX A0-FX.

If you chart MXN A0-FX you will see it is working correctly in eSignal. I am also charting this in a 3rd party application (which I stated in my prior post) and it correctly shows 13.46.

      Regards,

It was actually this that made me realize the issue and resolve it in my installation.

NinjaTrader is incorrectly trying to chart USDMXN instead of simply MXN. I switched the eSignal format from USDMXN to MXN and all is well now.

Thanks for your input which was what made me realize the solution.

        Regards,

          Hello,

If you wish to link $USDMXN to this symbol please take the following steps:
          • Open the Instrument Manager (Tools > Instrument Manager)
          • Select $USDMXN from the list on the right then click Edit.
          • In the Instrument Editor window's Misc tab, scroll down to the Symbol Map section.
          • Next to eSignal, enter: MXN A0-FX
          • Click OK to save your change and exit the Instrument Editor.
          • Click OK to exit the Instrument Manager.
          • Finally, reload data for your charts and you'll find that they are now linked to the other symbol.

Thanks a million. The Peso chart is working fine now.

I would suggest maybe changing the default install to remove the "USD" from the symbol for the eSignal feed to remove this issue for future users.

            Again many thanks,
            Paul
