KeepSelectedATMStrategyTemplateOnOrderSubmission.. ..

Hello,

It seems that the ChartTrader Option KeepSelectedATMStrategyTemplateOnOrderSubmission is getting confused when I toggle back and forth between SIM and LIVE accounts.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Thank you for your forum post.


As I test on my end, I cannot reproduce this situation while switching back and fourth between a live account and the Sim101 account on Chart Trader.

Does this situation persist on a new chart trader window?

If so, you can reset your chart trader properties to see if this helps to resolve the situation:

• Right mouse click on the chart trader area > Chart Trader Properties...
• Click Reset on the bottom of this window
• Click OK when finished and retest the situation.

Did you test with an active trade...that is when it happens...not when there is no trade.

Thank you for the follow up.


I have just tested while having an active order on the Sim101 account and switching between the Sim101 account and a live account, the ATM Strategy Selection mode stays on the setting "KeepSelectedATMStrategyTemplateOnOrderSubmiss ion" wile I switch to both accounts on the account drop down menu.

OK, I will do more testing...but so far mine acts differently. The original ATM changes to Custom or the Active ATM (dynamic) when there is an active trade and I toggle the Account.

I can investigate this situation further on my end.

Please send a note to platformsupport [AT] ninjatrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Ryan L." in the subject line.

In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) Your latest log and trace file:

You will find the log file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

• The log file will be named "log.20141015.txt"

You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

• The trace file will be named "trace.20141015.txt"

I tested again on a chart with no indicators and it did the same.

I placed an order on SIM with one of my ATMs. The selected ATM did not change.

Then I toggled the Account to my live account. The selected ATM did not change.

Then I toggle back to SIM and the selected ATM has changed.

Thereafter neither SIM or Live accounts have the original ATM, which is what I need. They do not even stay the same, but may change between toggles.

I will reset the log and trace files then do the test again and send them to you, as soon as I can.
