Ninja brokerage

ninja trader is installed and working on my computer.
I have been supplied with a demo license key, username and password.

what do I do now to get the demo running?. .

Thank you for your post.

You will want to setup a connection to the demo data feed within the Account Connections Wizard (Control Center > Tools > Account Connections)

I encountered the message

''this will reset your instruments to original settings.
-user added instruments will not be affected
- etc, etc, etc.
do you wish to continue?''

what should I do. I want to continue to be able to use ninja in the same way I always have [ie] connect to interactive brokers, kinetick, eurusd chart, etc.

but I also want to check out the ninja brokerage account?

please advise

Please move forward with resetting your instruments, this will not affect anything other than updating necessary instrument mapping to ensure that you receive live data from the demo.

NinjaTrader Download & Installation

1. Download NinjaTrader Software: DOWNLOAD
2. If necessary, download Microsoft .NET 3.5: DOWNLOAD
3. Follow the prompts to install the software
NinjaTrader Continuum Data Connection

You will be receiving a NinjaTrader Continuum username and password sent to the email address provided on the registration form within 15 minutes. These credentials will be required to establish your data connection.
Setup & Connection to NinjaTrader Continuum

1. When first launching the software (double click on icon on desktop), you will be prompted to enter a license key. Copy and paste the key below:

2. After the software loads, you will need to setup an account connection by selecting Tools->Account Connections from the Control Center. Click on 'Add' (do not select one of the existing connections), then click Next.

3. Enter a name for the connection (NinjaTrader, Demo, etc); select "NinjaTrader Continuum" from the Provider drop-down list and click Next. (Leave all other settings as they are).

- in step three I don't find "NinjaTrader Continuum" in the drop down list?

Thanks for your reply.

If you currently have a live single broker license for Interactive Brokers you would only be able to connect to Interactive Brokers. When wanting to use the NinjaTrader Continuum connection you would have to go to Help> License Key and paste the free license you have that is enabled for all providers in simulation. When you want to trade live you would need to disconnect, go back to Help> License Key, and enter your live license.

Additionally if you are on an old version of NinjaTrader the NinjaTrader Continuum connection will not be available.
The current version of NinjaTrader is 7.0.1000.26
To check what version of NinjaTrader you are running go to Help> About
To upgrade to NinjaTrader version 7.0.1000.26 please follow the link bellow.

Under Current User paste your license key.
You can locate your license key under Help> License key
Select Download NinjaTrader
Download Version 7.0.1000.26 (Current)
Before running the installer ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

maybe later I will experiment with ninja brokerage. for now I will just stick with interactive brokers.

Your other option to connect to multiple brokers would be to upgrade to a multiple brokers license. For more information on this you can email platformsales[at]ninjatrader[dot]com
