Ninja chart & excel spreadsheet don't match

my downloaded forex historical data for the
euro dollar [eurusd] downloaded from kinetick,
loaded into an excel spreadsheet, and then changed
    from text to columns
often does not match what is displayed in the chart
data box for the open, high, low & close for eurusd.
    should they not match exactly?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you provide a few specific examples of OHLC values which are not matching?
Are you checking against 1 tick, 1 minute or 1 day bars?
Which 'Session Template' is used in your chart? (To check, right click in the chart and select Data Series. You will find the Session Template property on the right side of the menu which appears)

        In the previous reply ---
the red highlighted cells in attachment3 are examples of cells that don't match exactly with data box values

          Hi joemiller,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I am seeing values for these dates lining up when testing here. Can you walk me through the process which you are using to create the excel spreadsheet? For instance, are you exporting grid results from the Historical Data Manager's Edit tab?

the session template is <use instrument settings>.
i think i exported from the hist data mgr export tab.
please tell me what steps to take to get the data from kinetick to a csv file … and then the steps to create the spreadsheet. Then i can re-do the whole process and report back to you.

what do you mean by ''grid results''?

              Joe.

Please check your 8/6 and 8/12 bars against the daily OHLC values which you find within the Historical Data Manager's Edit tab. (Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit) Do you see the same type of differences here or do OHLC values match the values displayed within the charts?

To export historical data to a .csv file please follow the steps which are discussed at this link to our Help Guide: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../exporting.htm

the values in the chart data box match the data manager values.
what did you mean by ''grid results'' in post # 5?

                  Joe,

My question was if you were right clicking in the grid within the Historical Data Manager's Edit tab, in the grid of OHLC values, and selecting Grid > Export to Excel. This does not appear to be the case based on your other replies as you've mentioned that you were using another method to create your spreadsheet.

                      Joe,

I still need clarification on how you are creating the excel spreadsheet which contains different values than you see in the chart and in the Historical Data Manager window.

If the chart and historical data manager values match I am unsure why you see differences in this other spreadsheet however, as I am unsure how you are creating that document in the first place.

                          I re-exported, following the steps at http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../exporting.htm
                          and everything looks ok.

the procedure used was the same as what I originally did ... go figure?

                          anyhow, I'm ok for now.

                          thanks for the help..
                          .
