    using imported data

    Hi, could You help me?
I exported data from a Ninja trader, so I have a file: $EURJPY.Last. I would like to use it in a nother Ninja, to make backtests. I imported this file, but how can I show it in a chart? How can I replay it? I would test a manual strategy, step by step, or bar by bar...
    Thank You for advance...

    Hello Akos,

Once you have imported the data, you should be able to open a chart to display the data.

If the data is available in the Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit tab, you can then chart or run backtest on the data.

Unfortunately, the data will not be available for use in Market Replay.

Market Replay works if you have downloaded or recorded market replay data.

Please click here for detailed instructions on downloading and recording market replay data

      Hello Christopher
Thank You for the answer, my problem is that after the importing a file, I open the new chart, and I can't see the $EURJPY.Last file, so I can't open it. On the left side part of the Data Series panel there are only the Default, DOW30, FOREX, NASDAQ, RSS, SP500. Where is my imported $EURJP.Last file?

      Best regards
      Akos

        Hello Akos,

You will need to open a chart for the instrument you imported data for.

Sorry Christopher, it is my fault, I cant understand. First I open a new chart. (File>New>hart) Now I get the Data Series panel. On the left side I can mark the desired instrument, in this case the EURJPY. But when I mark this, I get the historical data from my data provider, from FXCM. What can I do, that the data come from the imported file? Because this file named $EURJPY.Last doesnt appear on the Daata Series panel.

            Hello Akos,

NinjaTrader loads data from your data provider whenever it determines it could potentially not have all the data pertaining to the requested time period.

You may want to disable historical data from FXCM to use the imported data.

You can do this by going to Tools > Account Connections, selecting the connection and clicking Change.

Then in the connection wizard clicking Next, selecting 'Disabled, I will use another connection for historical data' under 'Historical Data' and clicking Next > Next > Finish.

You will need to disconnect and reconnect for the changes to take place.
