Order Entry System
Is it possible to have a ninjacript strategy automatically enter the trades but at the same time have the chart trader with the atm strategies manage the orders? I have read that you have to let the indicator with a strategy to enter the trades in order to be on the same chart with chart trader. Is it possible to convert the indicator code to enter trades?Tags: None

Hi kinkeadfx,
While you will be able to see orders placed by a strategy in Chart Trader, do not try and manage these orders manually. This can result in unexpected/undesired behavior such as the order unexpectedly being cancelled.
It is not supported by NinjaTrader to submit orders from an indicator.
However, you can add buttons to your strategy and have those buttons enter/exit, or change order prices up or down.
Below is an example that shows how to add buttons to a strategy.

We have created a real alternative of NT core ChartTrader based on a ninjascript strategy framework.
We can automatize almost every part of the trading without losing the human control and ATM possibilities.
You can autoexecute your entry signals (special extension of AlgoTraderPRO) and manage the trades exactly the same way as chart trader do, even in more flexible way.
Check this topic as well, we will release our v2.2 soon that will offer a new ATM Builder with many features for NT7 that only NT8 can do. (It's kind a NT7 ChartTrader upgrade)
If you are still interested to combine your automated and discretionary trading, please let me know, I'll be happy to assist.
Regards
