Connection order and mapping of symbols

If I connect, say, FXCM and CQG but connect FXCM first and CQG second then this can cause trades meant for CQG to be executed on FXCM.

How do I prevent this? I mean, the futures symbols I want only executed on CQG.

I don't really understand why this is happenening, but the temporary work around was to connect to CQG first and FXCM second.

However, I can easily see myself accidentally connecting to FXCM first and CQG second in the future.

1) can I establish a startup connection order -so that CQG is always first?

2) can I set some options or edit the symbols so they don't map somehow to FXCM? For instance I had problems with CL... enter position and instantly down 20 ticks even though price didn't move. Or ZB, it wouldn't let me execute anything while FXCM was connected first. (not that I wanted to, I'm just giving examples of what happens)

Hello NinjaCustomer,

1) When using the connect on startup feature, the connections will connect in alphabetical order based on connection name. You will want to have your CQG connection's name listed ahead of your FXCM's connection name alphabetically. You can change the connection name by going to Tools > Account Connections, selecting the connection and clicking Change. Then in the connection wizard clicking Next, editing Connection name and clicking Next > Next > Finish.

2) FXCM does not support futures. There should not be any symbol mapping for FXCM for any futures contracts.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support. checking the box 'Database file'.
