Are donchian channels supposed to move bounds when refreshing chart?

Hello

I came with an issue in my Donchian Channel.

Using Renko Bars supplied by Ninja Trader.

Donchian Channel lower bar started to move to a higher position and renko bars was falling down.

Both touched each other at the close of the candle at 5000 points for example.

When reloading the chart, renko bar was still at 5000, but the lower band was now at 4980.

There was enough candles to fill the price information. I was using a 100 bars for Donchian Channel.

Is this a expected behavior?

Thank you for your post.

Are you running the indicator with CalculateOnBarClose set to true or false?

Additionally, indicators and bars can change when being reloaded with tick based charts, as there is a slight delay between the reload and the real time where ticks may not have been recorded on the char, thus when the reload is complete, the bars and indicator calculations are subject to change.

Hello Cal,

CalculateOnBarClose is set to true.

Market replay does not have the same behavior. It kept 5000 points for the lower band. I went back to my live connection and the chart also shows the same 5000 for lower band. I have no clue what happened when that refresh showed 4980. If I find a way to get the same behavior again I will post it.

Is there any way to programmatically refresh the chart?

I am not aware of any way to code a refresh of the chart.
