    Replay not replaying

    Hi All
I am trying to back test using replay.
I have downloaded the data and it seems to be loaded correctly.
I then click file, connect, market replay connection.
The replay box appears. I then right click to check I have the available data . all OK
I open a new chart with the instrument EURGBP and the chart loads with candles.
I try and click the replay button and the clock starts to work, but the candles do not move.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Many thanks
    Ian

    Hello Ian,

Have you tried moving the Replay time to during the day where is more market movement?

Do other instruments act the same way or just EURGBP?

      Hi Cal
Thank you for your replay. I have moved the time of day and tried a couple of other instruments. But no luck, I still have the same problem.
      Regards

I have been trying a few things to see if lady luck is with me. Unfortunately she's not!
I can see the data loaded in the historical manager.
I have right clicked in the chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data', which is greyed out
I have repaired the DB. Control Centre-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab, click Repair DB. Restart NinjaTrader .
This did not work so I then
Closed NinjaT and deleted the db. C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db and delete the cache folder. Started NinjaTrader .
I still have the same problem. I could remove Ninji Trader and reload, but I would rather not try this yet.
        Regards
        Ian

          Hello,

Historical data and market replay data are actually separate types of data. Since it is not possible to play back historical data, I would recommend that you download Market Replay data via the File > Utilities > Download Replay Data menu. The following link to YouTube offers a overview of the steps which are required to download replay data: http://youtu.be/a4ITAvYaV78

              Hello Ian,

Within NinjaTrader 7 it is not possible to download multiple days of data at once. A separate download for each day would be required.

If other questions come up which I could assist you with please let me know.

NinjaTrader itself does not support this.

Search the internet for 3rd-party tools.

                For example, try this one,

The Intentional Trader aims to provide you with the new market replay data downloader NinjaTrader 8. You can download multiple days in one click and rest easy as your replay data downloads. Contact us now!
