    Forex Data

    Hello. I currently using NinjaTrader to connect to a basic Kinetick data feed. Currently I get the CME futures data without any issue. But I was trying to connect to the Forex data feed, but did receive any data from Kinetick. I not sure if there is a setting that I am missing within NinjaTrader or is there additional feature that needs to be enabled on my Kinetick account. Does someone have some advise?

    Hello*sledmt,

    Every Kinetick subscription included historical and delayed data for all instruments you are not subscribed for real time data.

    Please disconnect from Kinetick, reset the instruments and restart NInjaTrader.

    To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.

        I tried the things you mentioned in your post. Still not seeing the Forex data in Ninjatrader. What should I look at next? Thanks.

            After playing around with NinjaTrader, I missed the fact that I am getting historical currency data when graphing the currency pair in the chart window. But unlike futures which are delayed in the chart window, the currency does not updating in the chart window like the futures does after about 10 minutes. Is this by design with Kinetick? Do I have to get another data feed to get updating forex data?

              Hello,

              Based on the information which you've provided I would recommend that you try the following:

              Please shut down NinjaTrader then update to the current 7.0.1000.26 release of the software via this link: http://ninjatrader.com/download-registration.php

              After installing please restart NinjaTrader. Before connecting to any data source please open the Options menu. (Tools > Options) In the Data tab, click the 'Reset Instruments' button then restart NinjaTrader. Finally, reconnect to your data source and reload data.

                I found a odd work around for it right now. I will try updating NinjaTrader in a couple days.
