ATM at disconnection

Hello,
I'm trying to implement an ATM into the trading and got a question.
Let's say I use a strategy with 2 exits. The first exit was filled, stop was adjusted.
What happens if the connection is failed at this moment? Would the orders (the 2-nd exit and stop) stay at the exchange or just at my PC? Are they going to be filled while the connection is still down and I'm out of the NT7?

Also, what if the disconnection happens before the 1-st exit was filled? Is the initial stop loss going to be adjusted for the first exit amount during the disconnection?

Hello JustJoker,

If you have a disconnection, the orders will remain active on the exchange server (Depending on your brokerage technology Where your orders reside)

However, all ATM function will take place on your end of the NinjaTrader Platform. NinjaTrader needs to receive a signal on the orders in order to process any stop strategies.

OCO functionality will be limited to the local PC unless the brokerage technology supports Server side OCO from the link above.

I'm with InteractiveBrokers. So, am I right thinking that ATM will work at their servers as it supposed to at NT7 after I turn off my PC?

Hello,

The Stop Loss and Profit Target orders are likely to reside at IB servers. Likewise, OCO is something which is taken care of at the server level. The only ATM component which will require a connection be maintained is the Stop Strategy component. NinjaTrader must remain connected to modify orders with Auto-Trail, Auto-Break Even or Simulated Stop strategies.
