Parallel scaling capabilities of optimizers

Hi, I'm building my next NT specific computer and am looking at the Xeon Phi 57 core CoProcessors. I'm wondering if the two optimizers in NT7 are written with a specific number of cores in mind and if performance increase per additional core drops off after a certain number of cores, or does the optimizer performance increase linearly with more cores.
Also, will NT8 have the same characteristics as NT7 in this regard?
