    Connected but no live data

    Hi there,

    Im using Tradestation as external feed, and i have successfully connected however on the control center i dont see price feed showing, and when I open a new chart, price is not moving, the chart data only shows up to the when my historical data was imported, please help, thanks!

    Thank you for your post.

      Thanks for reply, the data did show up after i tried it again, however there are 2 problems

      1) The live feed stopped moving after a while

      2)There are several hours of data missing after I imported the historical data

      (Would it matter if the data on my broker is from simulated account and not live account?I do have live account and my broker is tradestation.)

        1) What instrument?

        Do you have the chart open in TradeStation?

        Are you receiving data in TradeStation for this instrument?

        2) Did you import the missing data?

        If so, if you re-import the data is it still missing?

        What time frame is missing?

          Its ES 03-15

          Yes I have the chart open in TS

          I have re import the data and the data still missing, I tried it on several TF like 1 min 3 min 60 min the data still missing.

            What time frame is missing?

            Is the data listed in the Edit tab of the Historical Data Manager?

            In TradeStation, on your ES chart please:

            Select the menu "File > Import/Export EasyLanguage"
            Select Import "EasyLanguage file (ELD, ELS or ELA)" and click "Next"
            Click on "Browse…" which opens a new window
            Click on "My Computer" on the left side of the window
            Double click on Local Disk (C
            Double click on Program Files
            Double click on NinjaTrader™ 7
            Double click on bin
            Double click on AutoTrade
            Double click on NINJATRADER.ELD
            Click "Next"
            Click "Next"
            Click "Finish" and confirm any upcoming query box by clicking "OK"

              Thanks for your reply.

              Yes it does appear in the edit tab of historical data manager, and I have followed all the steps too.

              Im thinking, if it would be due to difference of time of my TS chart and NT chart. It is weird that when im on the 1min chart, the bar does not close on 1 min, but it keeps moving after 1 min.

                      Hi Christopher,

                      The data is back after I go to the session manager and change the timezone to sync with my computer time. Thanks.

                      There is one more question. When I close the chart on TS, the data feed on NT stopped, and the chart doesnt move anymore, even if I open a new chart on TS, the feed on NT still dont move. I had to restart NT and reload the historical data, and also re-connect the feed by insert strategy on TS. I would like to know, if I have to do this 2 steps whenever I close my chart on TS? Or every time I open up my TS platform or NT platform?Thanks.

                        and one problem still exist, after I have imported the data, the newest bar on the 1min chart doesnt close after 1 min and it continues, also the couple of 1 min bar before the chart was created was missing too.

                          Hello DealerSing,

                          You will need to leave the chart open in TradeStation to receive data in NinjaTrader.

                          To receive data from TradeStation you will need to complete the steps for each active chart.

                            After changing the time of the PC clock you will need to restart NinjaTrader for the changes to take place.

                            Does the time stamp of the current bar match your PC clock?

                              Hi Christopher,

                              No it doesnt match, and the funny thing is, its been 2 hours since I have imported the data, and the 1 min bar is now running for 2 hours and still going, really dont know what went wrong.
