    Instrument (Group) Edit

The 490+ Hong Kong stocks I imported to NT7 have one common issue, which is Hong Stock Exchange's statute holidays being recorded by Yahoo as trading days with OHLC at the same price, and volume as 1 that's 0 on Yahoo's website.

I can resolve the issue by editing each instrument in Historical Data Manager by excluding those statute holidays. However editing 490+ instruments is an overwhelming task.

Is any way I can edit these instrument as a group?

    Hello Mr. Lawrence,

    Thanks for your post.

There is no way to edit these as a group. Within NinjaTrader you can only edit each instrument one at a time.

Is possible to write a script to change them at the back-end?

If positive, please show me where to start.

        Hello Mr. Lawrence,

        Thanks for your reply.

It is not supported to modify historical data with NinjaScript.

Since I'm using Excel and its VBA, I have all these stocks in clean shape in CSV format. Is possible to import them to NT7?

More importantly, can it be maintained by Yahoo download afterward?

My goal is replace my Excel & VBA routines with NT7.

            Hello Mr. Lawrence,

            Thanks for your reply.

You would need to convert this to a .txt file with the proper format.
Below I have provided a link to the Understanding import file and data formats section of our help guide.

You can connect to Yahoo with NinjaTrader to access historical daily interval data.

              1. Import suggestion work
              2. NT7 has pre-installed Yahoo connection, do I need to create the suggested one?
