2 PCs, 1 strategy working only on one of them

Hello,

I am running some of my strategies on 2 PCs (home desktop and rented server). I have on strategy which loads correctly on the home desktop but does not on the server. I am completely baffled as to what might be the reason for it. I am also running some other strategies which work correctly on both.

Please see attached screenshots for comparison. Both instances run the very same strategy, copy pasted on the same data provider (Kinetick). Can you please advise what might be causing the issue?

Thank you for your post.

On the server screenshot it looks as though the strategy is disabled. If you enable the strategy do you see performance? What performance are you viewing? Is this Historical, Real-Time, or Historical and Real-Time?

Hello Patrick,

you are correct. After loading the strategy (meaning all the symbols) the strategy itself does not enable. When I try to enable it, the underlying strategy symbols load again but the strategy is again disabled.

The performance is histroical on both charts.

Are there any errros in your log tab noted on the server setup?

How much historical data do you load for the script's primary chart and what BarsRequired is used?

Hello,

based on the log I was told that the exchange was not set for 2 symbols. After manual assignment of the exchange in instrument manager it loaded up correctly, therefore the problem is solved for now.

I am not aware that I have performed the same steps also on my home pc though. Any idea what might have caused the difference in regards to instrument settings?

Hello Waldo,

Thank you for your response.

It could be that due to the recent releases the instruments were updated and resetting the instruments would be necessary after upgrading.
