Bar Spacing Changes Bar Width

When I change the bar spacing Ctrl+Down/Up (OHLC bars) the bar width also changes. Since there is a seperate command to change the bar width, Alt+Down/Up, I think the default behavior of changing bar spacing should NOT change the bar width.

As a minimum, if you dont want to change the default behavior, then perhaps add an option to either:

1) "Don't change bar width with change in bar space"

or perhaps

2) Add another hot key combo like Shift+Down/Up that only changes the bar spacing and does not change the bar width.

Hi PTE97,

Thank you for your note.

Since by increasing the bar spacing you are effectively zooming in on the chart the bar width will also be effected such that the increased spacing will result in fewer bars visible on the chart which modifies the width with the current scaling.

Presently this feature behaves as expected by modifying the width of the bars but I have forwarded a suggestion to development to include this as a possible future enhancement.

Thanks Ryan, often the Open or Close of adjacent bars touch making them difficult to judge, adjustment of spacing without changing Open/Close Line width would help.

I think zooming and bar spacing should be separate and independent things.
