    error on loading chart data

    Hi,

    after numerous backtesting suddenly i do get this message;

    Error on loading chart data for 'ES 12-09 Globex'

    What can be the issue, how can i resolve this.

    Hi Rob,

    Thank you for your post.

    Please send me your log and trace files for today so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

    Please reference this link "http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/forum/showthread.php?t=71398" in the subject line.

      For both my machines, i run two NT's on separate servers.

        Thank you for the images you've posted.

        Although, I haven't seen your log and trace sent via email yet.

        DId you, from the Control Center, go to Help > Mail to Platform Support... ?

        Please put this link "http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/forum/showthread.php?t=71398" in the subject line of the email and please be sure to check the box for 'Log and Trace files'.

        I'll keep my eye out for your email.

              Hi again,

              I still haven't received your email yet.

              Please send a note to platformsupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]com

              And,

              Please manually attach your most current log and trace files to your response, so I may investigate this matter further.

              You will find the log file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Log folder.

              The log file will be named "log.20140116.txt"
              You will find the trace file on your PC in the (My) Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.

              The trace file will be named "trace.20140116.txt"

                  Hi,

                  Using strategy Analyzer, for backtesting;

                  although you've explained that problems were possible due to intense market activity during trading hours, i do get error messages now also in the weekend.

                  ' Error on loading chart data for ES 12-11 Globex. Unable to load historical data; unknown instrument '
                  Log & trace attached.

                  Also ES 12-11 gives an error, so multiple errors.

                  Facts;
                  I have never had any prior issues with using my ES data, which i have imported last year
                  Backtesting was always succesfull without any problems
                  I have not added any data, nor changed any.
                  Opening a chart from sep-2011 till dec-2011 ( ES 12-11 ) is possible without any problems.
                  Also when i enable the strategy (true) within the chart on backtest, it will show all the correct trades in the chart.
                  On my server#1 i do have the exact same ES data from 2008-2014 as on server#2. When backtesting in server#1, i do see other problems ( for example ES03-09 ) which i don't see in my server#2.

                        Hi Rob,

                        I attempted to download data as well for the ES 12-11 using my Kinetick connection, and was unsuccessful. This indicates that there isn't data available for the Kinetick connection for the ES 12-11.

                          Of course. Kinetick has only 180 days. Thats why i purchased ES tick data in 2013. From 2003-2014 i have the data and have been using this extensively thru backtesting. Suddenly it gives me problems..

                            Hi Rob,

                            When you disconnect do see you see the same?

                            The data that is available for the ES instrument goes back to January 21, 2014 on Kinetick. Unless you've imported the data through a file, then the data would go back further.

                            Do you have a backup for your platform? If you had a backup before this error, then you could run the backup before this error existed.

                              Hi Riley,

                              i have disconnected our server and restored to Jan 11th, when things were still fine.
                              However, stil the same error.

                              On my other server I have of course imported the same 10 yrs data for the ES. Quess what; the ES12-11 runs fine here., but other contracts ( like the 03-11 /06-11 and 09-11 ) give an error.

                              Has anyone the expertise to dig deeper and look via treamviewer?
                              Any other ideas?
