    Average & Sum of Columns

    Hi,

Is there a way to get the average and sum of column values?

For example, I have 3 columns which display the RSI values on 15min, 30min, and 60min timeframes.
I want 2 other columns that calculate and show the average & sum of the 3 columns above.
    Is this possible in M.Analyzer?

    Thank you.

    Hello Pi,

We support a 'Total row' in the Market Analyzer, but no average row.

    1. Press down on your right mouse button in the Market Analyzer window and select the menu Properties.
    2. In the Properties menu scroll down to the Total Row section and set the property Enabled to True. You can also choose to customize the color of this row with the Color for background property.
    3. Press the Apply button to apply the changes or press the OK button to apply the changes and exit the Properties menu.
    4. To show each column’s total in the Total row press down on your right mouse button inside the Market Analyzer window and select the menu Columns.
    5. Set the Show in Total row property to True for each column you want totaled in the Total row.
    6. Press the Apply button to apply the changes or press the OK button to apply the changes and exit the Columns window.

Thank you for your reply, but I'm asking about the total & average of columns .

The total row will show the the sum of the column.

Perhaps my question is not very clear

Imagine this like what we have in Excel. I'm having 3 columns A, B, C that holds RSI values for 3 timeframes. I want 2 additional columns D, E.
          * D shows the sum of the values in columns A, B, C
          * E shows the average of the values in columns A, B, C

          Is this clearer Jason?

          Thanks.

Unfortunately this is not supported in the Market Analyzer. However you can show the cumulative value (SUM) of a Market Analyzer column using the total row setting.

I see. Can you provide some hint or suggestion to do that with a custom programming?

              Thanks.

Pi, there's unfortunately no framework available that would let you work with the MA like that. I would suggesting creating a MultiSeries study that could cumulate your individual values as desired.

Haiz, that's what a customer requests me

There is no choice but to create a multi series indicator and make C# graphics paint directly on chart.

                  Thanks.
