    Minute Bars Not Showing

I am using the demo version and recently when I setup the chart to 5min, 10min or 60min bars it is showing a blank chart. it is the same for Kinetick, Yahoo or Google data connection.
Only daily bars appear to work.
    Please advise.

    Minute Bars Not Showing

    Hey frank8h

I have the same issue! NT support previously advised me to reset instruments, this worked for a short time but not now!

Have e-mailed them again but unable to assist you further at this time.

    Cheers

        Hi Frank

I'm just another Forum user and I'm sure I had a similar issue when I started out using the free demo version of NT years ago.

        Start of dumb question:

do you have a realtime subscription with Kinetick in respect of the instruments you have on your charts?

        End of dumb question.

If not, Kinetick is only free for daily charts. They don't provide a free intraday data service and I don't think intraday data is free historically, either. To get a realtime service, this is the link:

I don't think either Yahoo or Google offer a free realtime service.

If my question was really dumb, please let me know!

Minute bars have nothing to do with real time data. you should be able to get minute bars from yesterday.
          So the answer is "yes".

To plead the case that my question wasn't dumb in any way, did you read all of what I said:

"I don't think intraday data is free historically, either"...

(though this was added a minute or two later, so you may not have seen it.)

Final judgement will be down to a Ninja staffer who will inform you definitively, but they take longer to reply at weekends.

Q: "I saw someone posted that Kinetick supplies at least 120 days of historical tick data, two years of minute data. After I connected to Kinetick, I was not able to doanload these data, any suggestions? Do I have to pay to get these data?

A: This is correct Kinetick has this data availiable. However it is only availiable to subscribers only. The free connection does not have this data availiable only end of day daily data."

              ---

"When connecting to Kinetick Free EOD within NinjaTrader this will give you access to End of Day Daily data which may be used to create Day, Week, Month and Year charts.

In order to receive Historical Tick and Minute data from Kinetick you would be required to subscribe to their service."

                Hello Frank8H and Gone Long,

                Thank you for your posting.

Arbuthnot is correct here. Kinetick End of Day is only available for historical daily data. If you want to get historical intraday data you will need to have a real time subscription for data.

I can't even get the Sim Acc to show the price on the chart. This has happened several times now and I am certainly getting frustrated with the platform.

                    Gone Long,

If you are referring to the Simulated Data Feed, you will need to change the Session Template of the chart to use Default 24/7. Right click on the chart -> Data Series... -> Session Template -> Default 24/7

Additionally, you may need to setup a Starting Sim price for the instrument -

It is set to the ES under Default, there is no 24/7.

Start price is already set and I can see the price movements on the Control Center but not the chart?

                      Thanks

                        Gone Long,

What do you mean set to the ES under Default? The session template is what you would set for the chart and instrument.

OK... found it via 'Session Manager' under Tools Drop Down menu rather than right clicking. Yes it is set to 24/7

                            Hello Gone Long,

To set the session template on a chart you will need to right click on the chart and select Data Series.

Then in the Data Series window select 'Session template' select the template and press OK.

You can view/edit/create session templates in the Session Manager window. Tools > Session Manager.
