Market replay-close position, strategy disabled

When in Market Replay and a strategy is running which is only drawing up and down triangles, If I close a position, the strategy gets disabled.

Search for this a bit and found nothing.

That definitely doesn't surprise.

Have you thought about converting that "strategy" to an indicator?

The output window shows the strategy getting disabled along with a very long number. Same with the Control Center log.

There are very long #s when you start the strategy too.

I know if your strategy has a position open - and you close it manually - the strategy is disabled. So it doesn't surprise me that all strategies running would be closed with open position or not. It's probably hardwired to close everything.

My strategy does not open positions, it only draws triangles up and down. I enter positions manually.

Also, if I have an ATM stop strategy running in SuperDOM and the price hits the stop, the position is closed and the strategy is not disabled.

Thank you for your post.

The CLOSE button closes all positions, orders and strategies running on the account and instrument combination. Scaling out of the position with an order such as a Stop Loss or manually placed order would not cancel all orders or strategies.

Thank you for the info. I just started using SuperDOM so that is the difference.

Sledge, I have never considered making the strategy an indicator. I am going to try that!
