    Cannot cleanly close NT, latest version, on Windows 7

    Hello - I'm having some problems with NT and have decided that rather than "futz" around, I'm going to uninstall the software and start from scratch, which should clear up the problem. However, even after uninstalling, looking out on my system for NT files and deleting them and running regedit (can't see any NT ref's), when I do the reinstall, NT is still seeing my old chart data and my bugginess still exists.

    The main symptom of which is that I cannot exit from NT, I have to kill the process from task manager.

    What all do I need to delete on my system -- I don't mind doing the chart reloads, etc. -- to make NT believe it was never installed on here? Thanks .....

    Thank your for your post.

    I recommend writing in to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com and sending your log and trace files before completely uninstalling NinjaTrader, so that we can prevent this from happening in the future.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

    Please reference the the link below in the subject line.
    If you still desire to Uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader, I've supplied the steps below.

    *Close all running applications.

    *Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.

    *From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 7 and click Remove.

    *Then manually delete the folder "NinjaTrader 7" located under Start --> My Documents.

    *Delete any NinjaTrader installation files. This can be done by going to Start --> My Computer --> Search button --> search for (NinjaTrader*) --> select Local C Disk and then press search.

    *Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear history).

    *Reboot your machine.

    Once these steps are completed, download NT7 from the link below:
    http://www.ninjatrader.com/download-registration

    Please let us know if you are able to get up and running after the reinstall.
