Server Problem Licence?

Dear support,

I have a problem, we are a group of 3 traders and are useing a server with windows server 2012.

The problem is now that we are 2 traders that are useing NT7.

But when the second trader has his NT7 up and running and i try to put a script on it the hole nt7 crashes.

Why?

Also can someone tell me is it possible to install nt7 in a special folder like MT4??

On my pc i have MT41 MT4 2 as folders...is this possible with NT7 too??

Thanks for your post.

To look into your crash you will need to send in your log and trace files.
To do this go to Help> Mail to platform support
In the message include a link to this forum topic and provide a date/time that the crash happened.

The NinjaTrader program folder can be selected when installing NinjaTrader
The documents folder for NinjaTrader must be located under your Windows Documents folder
You can reroute your Documents folder and have NinjaTrader work still however it must be routed to a local drive.

yes the first time when the first user is installing it i can choose the folder...

But when i want to install it for the second user it just tells me repair or remove.

So can you explain how to change this folder (tried it and NT crashes on startup because i changed it)

and how to get the nt working for the second user (this should use another folder)

for example for user 1 the folder should be user1 and for user 2 user2

I try it 8 hours now and I am desperate...

Thanks for your reply.

There can only be a single install of NinjaTrader on the computer. All users for the computer will be accessing the same programs folder. Each user would need to have their own log on to Windows with their own users account. Each user then could log into Windows one at a time and use NinjaTrader with their settings. It is not possible to run multiple instances of NinjaTrader on the same system. Each user account would have it's own Documents folder where NinjaTrader would have that user accounts files. The live license is only registered to the person who purchased it. Other users would need to have their own license key to trade live.

So it is not possible for 2 different persons / user to trade on NT7 the same time on a server?

Maybee im just missing something

It is possible to have 2 separate NinjaTrader documents folders using different Microsoft Windows user accounts. It is not possible for both NinjaTrader users to be running at the same time.
