    Market Replay Connection Not Working

    NT Staff,

    It has been approximately 4 years since I used NT, but I am once again working on an automated model. I have setup the demo CQG account, and I have downloaded a week's worth of ES 03-15 Tick Data. I can verify this data by drilling down through the export tab.

    However, once I disconnect from CQG and then attempt to connect to "Market Replay Connection" - it says "Login Failed: There is no recorded data to replay."

    What's more if I pull up an ES 03-15 chart without being connected to anything, it loads the download tick data.

    Thank you for your post.

    Historical data and market replay data are separate items within NinjaTrader 7. Unfortunately, it is not possible to play historical data back as Market Replay data. In order to utilize Market Replay, you will first need to download replay data from NinjaTrader's free replay data servers using the File > Utilities > Download Replay Data command.

      Kyle, I am also having a problem with market replay. I have properly downloaded data, but when I connect to the market replay data connection I do not get a replay control panel. There is no controls, no data or instruments listed and when I open a chart it shows the end date as 1/15/2013. That date is greyed out and I cannot change it in the chart options.
      So no data populates my chart.
      I checked the proper db/data file and the files are there.
      CL 4-15.nt2
      CL 4-15.ntm
      downloaded for 2/16-20.
      I have normal charting functionality with live market connection.
      Also, I am running version 7.0.1000.25
      Just updated to .26 and no market replay controls.
      How do I fix this?

        Hello*torrant,

        Please close NinjaTrader and go to the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > workspaces folder.

        Once in the workspaces folder select the _Workspaces file and rename it to _Workspaces.old.

        Then launch NinjaTrader and connect to Market Replay.

        Once connected go to File > Workspace > Open Workspace and select your workspace.*
