hi, can I use Market Analyzer to scan at the end of day?

Say I have an indicator like 100 MA for example and I want to scan at the end of the day for stocks that closed above the ma.

Is that possible with MA?
If my indicator is set to calculate on bar close, will that work?

Hi Onn, thanks for your post.

Market Analyzer actually doesn't take into account historical data at all for most of the columns you can add. The goal of Market Analyzer is to be a real-time quote sheet, analyzing incoming market data without regard to historical data. That said, some columns might work with end of day data, like LastClose for example, but this would just read out the value of the last closing price of the last bar of the day.

That said, it does sound like you're onto something with adding the Indicator (MA) column to your Market Analyzer, setting its CalculateOnBarClose setting to True, and adding the stocks you want to compare its end-of-day results to. I do get some results by plugging in some instruments to my Market Analyzer with the Indicator (SMA) column with CalculateOnBarClose set to True.
